I decided the best time for me to study is 3 hours in the morning from 9 to 12 while the kids are at school , and at night from 9 or 10 to 12 or 1 at night. These are the times that I feel I don't get distracted unless i choose to. so for an average of 5 to 6 hours aday I am studying during the month of February. In the weekend I still have to try and see how much time I can get. This is my study time that I can promise myself.

Nice to see you after a long gap. You are doing great.Timings you have chose are working good for me too except for weekend which are usually a disaster  .....Anyway that's what life is.
Goodluck with ur studies and do keep posting ur progress..Will be a motivation to urself too.

Hi Sunshine(mytime), I am doing Ok.Thanks.I was going through the posts and found ur son is not feeling well.How is he now?
Last week was a mess.........
 
I felt I was going nowhere.So now this weekend came up with a new tight schedule and now ready to hit the books well again!!!
I just finished respiratory and shall start General patho..cell injury and inflammation.

Well though some hours left in studying I may only be able to finish fluid and hemodynamics...Did some questions.Were definately useful but shall have to do nutrition tomorrow.

Valentine Day was spent well with my valentines!!!The snow strom made the routine messed up.Kids were home all day. Could not study much in day and by evening I was so tired...could not concentrate. 
Finished Neoplasia and started renal.
Want to finish renal today.

I just realised that though being on site for ample of time I missed to write in here. Since friday was my daughter's public speaking competition...was at her school for almost whole day!!!She stood first in school and now going regional. Seeing sucess of hers make me feel so proud.
Little one is having bad time....Suffering from bad bad cold.Just blaming my choice to send her for babysitting to earn some study time. Didn't work out well...I end up spending more time caring for her and seeing her suffer makes things worse for me..Am so confused and don't know what to do?!!
I am so messed up with my schedule. Again a day behind. Tomorrow again busy with kids...Taking one to competition and other to Doc!!!
Me studying???!!!!!!

Passed USMLE 1 (207/84), preparing for step 2 CK, which I'll give when I feel ready to (have to wait untill 2009 to go to a residency program). I am not in a hurry...

I'll try to give step 2 CK before August, when my 5 years old is going to start kindergarten (only 3 hours a day), and I am going to have even less time to study.

I know I have time, and my kids go to school, but I still feel so confused to do house work first or study then ending up not finishing any . Still battle with organizing my time. I like to hear any advice.

Studying is my priority. When I am tired, I stop, do some laundry, some cleaning, go back to studying. Itá not forever, hubby needs to understand...

I AM BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am back after a long time...feels like been through a nightmare which never seem to end!!Things shatter in seconds but takes long for us to put them back in place...or adjust to live without it!!!
Anyway putting it behind I am ready for the same old fight and desperate to bring it to an end too.Didn't study anything but ready to pick it from where I left.
Starting biochem today.

Biochem...Am okay with it shall try to finish FA and goljan 100pg biochem part
Earlier I was more or less restricting myself to my journal but now as I am much in rythum of my studies and more firm myself I guess...  don't feel a need to write my track in detail where I was looking back weekly how I did!!... rather I feel spending more time on solving questions which I guess have much to teach and the best way to judge where one stands

Sometimes hmmm.....rather most of the time I feel days are just running by...and I am not doing my studies good enough.
Feels like I should walk out of house with my books for some days...Wonder if I am ever going to make it in usmle!!!
So now for two days busy with kids schedule and from Sunday shall start systemwise final reading.

Regarding ur query in our thread......anat,physio,path, pharm.....but do qs. first and base ur reading on basis of what u get wrong! IE Read from text not explainations...... start with Anat......mix with path or physio and pharm..Do whichever is ur weakest system first..And good luck!

Okay thought I am doing fine but when I have nothing to look back and check myself I guess I am not in position to judge!!!!
Shall keep writing here anyways!!
Shall start with immunology. Chapter 8 immune response and the target is to finish immunology today!!
