kaplan is good but you have to do more and more questions for bio chem b/c it is a little trickyand more you will do it more you feel comfortable and also remember this is ur 1st reading after a little bit of time.I had been throught this and after 1st one i thought i was the most dumb reson and didnot know anything but believeme it will get better .Just donot give up .keep doing againa nd again.

Ok about biochem..Kaplan is good.I did lipin. to understand the initial chapters.from lipin. I did first six chapters(till basic concepts of metabolism) and then started from kaplan.It worked better for me that way.I have also put the cycle chart from lipin on my fridge A glace everyday keeps it fresh in my mind.Do many many questions...as it work for all subjects...All we need to know is what and how usmle asks

Today I have just finished renal physiology and acid base balance  So I shall grab the luxury to go to bed early Tomorrow I am starting endocrinology...Scary.Hoping to finish physio by this weekend.

I feel good I have finished endocrine and this weekend is for GI physiology.Shall finish today. So tomorrow I can do some more questions and shall take kids out for fun!!!!!

Wow I did have a wonderfull weekendWe went to temple for two evenings for garbas......and it was so fun.my kids enjoyed it most....little angels dancing in pretty dresses.There are some days I love to lock in my memories and these were one of them
Well that also concludes that I didnot do enough justice to books....So ya won't be able to finish anatomy by monday So now I shall move the target to wednesday afternoon.Now that the fun part is over it does bring the tension back and more intense too......
Back to studies

Thanks for stopping byWell about momentum....I shall say yes...I got some momentum now but still not up to my expectation.During immunology I got lucky to have ample of free time.See now though I am good with Anatomy, I am stuck....lack of time or waste of time.Yes this is my first reading.
I plan to take my exam in jan 07.

Oh my GOD!!!!!I am sooooo not studing.It always happens to me, If I am out of study rhythm it takes a long time for me to get it back to study.Anyway I am back. Shall do some questions to get my concentration back!!!! Oh GOD help

OK I am back on track. So I have finished 5 chapters of neuroscience and still have enough time to study today.Shall finish neuro tomorrow.I am going to put housechores on hold for tomorrow.....Can live with mess for a day.

Oh no it is snowing.Its not that I hate winters but I just don't like this whiteouts.I think I am a tropical person stuck up here in norht! 
Yesterday night I did study well.Something good about this cold weather is my kids go to bed early
I am thinking of putting my younger kid 2 yrs old in a daycare atleast for 3 hours in morning which I think will give me some extra time to study.But I am confused about the choice.Shall I chose some organised daycare facility or some lady running a daycare in home!!! It scares me how will my little one react or is this right at first place?
Today the target is to finish neuroscience and move on to microbiology. I am doing questions only few but looking back to what I have studied and how much I practically remember or put in the questions is scary.But atleast it helps me framing up new stuff that I read.Well sometimes

Well I try a lot to concentrate during weekends but it just brings frustrations!Could not start micro yesterday and didn't do so well today either!Shall be studing for 2 more hours and plan to finish micro by wednesday.

Though I am doing good with DVDs and notes....I am not very comfortable with microbiology.I need some more details and understanding.I shall finish micro with kaplan and then add some more reading from miro made ridi. simple which I think is more easier to understand...for a person like me who still love to watch "Tom and Jerry" and "Looney Toones"

Finished micro yesterday and am reading some part of micro made ridi.simple.Today I have started with patho but didn't do much.I am going to give 10 days to patho and then 1 more week to pharmac and behavior science.So I should be done my first reading by 10th nov as I do expect 2-3 days break!!!!
Oh GOD please help!!!Help me conquer this.
So now back to patho.

your progress is amazing!!!!!!!
I have a few qs if you can spare a few moments to answer. Which book are you reading for patho? Are you listening to the lectures also?
I am really impressed that you can finish patho in 10 days in your first read
I am also doing patho these days and it is taking me for ever . Do you just skim thru the pages or try to memorize also?
How many hours a day are you able to put in your studies?
I apologise for bombarding you with questions but I really need some tips from fast readers like you.

Hi unique,
Well I have "planned" to finish patho in 10 day.Let's see how it goes..but I do intend to finish it.I have started with kaplan as I don't have so much time to go through goljan note....are very long....but shall try to hear the lectures as I have heard that they r GOOD.
While going through lectures I just skim through but next day I I try to recall and then memories what I missed!!
Average 9 hrs of study every day except weekends which are little less.
Goodluck.
Don't worry u are doing good.Hours and speed are of no use if u feel nowhere after finishing the subject.!!!

I am feeling so sleepy now.I wanted to finish resp patho...but only done half.So shall start with resp and try to finish renal,biliary ,git & pancreatic pathology.Hope it is a smooth day tomorrow!!!
