Hi everyone,
Just got my score report (246/99) exam taken 8 AUG 2006,
score report date appeared on oasis 30 aug and receive the report 5 sept
my numbers are
UW 66% after all qs in tutor mode
qbook 80-85%
usmle cd after every thing 44, 43, 39
nbme1 = 600 (after 1/2 UW) nbme 2= 670 (after all UW) nbme 3=580 2 days before the exam NB: 246=about 640
here is my CV
finished med school dec 2004 with grade excellent with honor and the rank of 221/1400
started internship march 2005 to march 2006 and worked hard and ws very active in all rounds. that gave me a good clinical sence and a good decision making skills even though I thought most of what was I doing was useless it generated alot of experience that was very helpful in step2
started studying seriously with the last 2 month of the internship (jan, feb) finished psychiatry then ob gyn from kaplan plus the dvds, then internal medicine accompanied by pretest in internal medicine and usmle step2 secerts, then pediatrics plus pretest as well. then surgey without pretest .then as my application got delayed because I sent a copy of the english certicficate instead of the arabic diploma. I studied pharm, path,neuroscience in one month (which proved very helpful )
then took all UW in a month (july) and then in the 1st week of august I did what was left from QBOOK along with an MCQ CD that I got from one of the collage book stores

Path and pharm give you a very good idea about disease mechanism and how to choose the drug for it. its a great way to mix the info around
I took my exam in Cairo-Egypt the USMLE site has an anouncment that it will delay some score reports to 13 sep due to change in test Item pool. may be you are one of them
Yes there is 1400+ student in my school each year. seems like alot but it is nearly the largest med school in Egypt. there is only 13 med school in all Egypt but they are graduating about 13000+ doctor each year. ofcourse we are divided into many sub sections. the unversity hospital serve up to a million patient per month. a typical work day in ob gyn for example take up to 40-60 vag delivery and about 10-15 CS per day
