I don't know what is written in Kaplan, but from what I know (after working @ cardiology for one month). We give TNK (thrombolytic) if within 12 hours and no contraindications. If not in the 12 hours bond OR there are contraindications, primary Angioplasty is the treatment of chioce IF the centre has a vascular surgery support team. Again, this is practical info taken during my Cardiology month. Don't know what Kaplan or other USMLE prep book states. Still did not start my preperations
