its because its very short acting and hence has more chances of dependance and withdrawl

yeah this one's interesting. triazolam actually has the most rapid elimination (i think that must be synonymous with shortest 1/2 life) but potency is also a factor, putting lorazepam ahead by a nose. so much for the "thinking" exam! i would have gone with triazolam for sure on an exam if i hadn't looked that up : )
