56 years o/m with mild well controlled COPD is being evaluated for atypical chest pain.which of the following types of stress tests is least appropriate for this pt?? 1. excercise tolerence test 2. excercise tolerence test with thallium 3. adinosine thallium test 4. dobutamine echocardiography 5. excercise testing with sestamibi

Just guess Adenosine Thallium test. Adenosine causes Bronchoconstriction GL

adinosine can provoke the bronchospasmin pts with reactive airways disease.Dobutamine echocardiography can be performed in those pts with COPD without complication and has roughly the same sensitivity and specificity. as long as pt can tolerate the excercise ,there is no contraindication to using excercise stress testing either alone or with thallium or sestamibi.
