I've been using FA. I passed- it is not a bad book, but I guess there is no good review book for Step 3, to much information to gather it in a comprehensive yet concise way.

I think the two books complement each other well. I used Crush for review (3 days) then quickly read the vignettes at the end of First Aid (1 day). Spent about a day doing the sample Q's and playing with software for the clinical portion. I did this before, during and after reviewing the material in Crush and FA. That way you get an idea of the depth of info you are expected to acquire. Crush has more info than you need to do very well on the exam. If you know that stuff you'll be in great shape. Reviewing the vignettes in FA is also very helpful, gives you an idea of what the cases are like. In my opinion, however, the workups in FA are a little extensive, I did a more straight forward approach. There was only one out of 10 cases where the dx was not very clear simply from the presentation. Work ups are really superfluous. It is correct management that you need to focus on. Good luck.
