Patient drinks 75 g of glucose during Glucose tolerance test. Twenty minutes after she drinks the glucose solution, which of the following biochemical findings would be expected?
The correct answer is: Hepatic glycogen synthesis is activated.
Agree. But among other choices there is also: Hepatic glycolysis is activated. In the explanation part they are saying that Hepatic glycolysis is inhibited, rather than stimulated.
Why??? In liver glucose is converted to Glucose-6-P which then can be used as an energy source (via glycolysis and TCA) or goes to glycogen synthesis. Or I am mistaken????
