A 7-year-old girl is seen for left lower quadrant
pain. You are consulted because
an ovarian neoplasm is identified by
ultrasound. the
most likely ovarian tumor in this
patient is
a. Germ cell
b. Papillary serous epithelial
c. Fibrosarcoma
d. Brenner
e. Sarcoma botryoides

Sarcoma boityroides is not an ovarian Ca. its vaginal

thanx, springd for that correction.

yes, it is germ cell and the most likely in this patient will be a teratoma (germ cell tumor are frequently diagnosed under 30 yrs)

papillary serous epithelial and brenner (transitional cell tumor) are more frequently diagnosed after 40yrs

i think fibrosarcoma and Sarcoma botryoides are distractors. they don't involve the ovaries
