i took form 1 nbme and got 540.
a friend of mine told that form 2 is a better correlate than form 1
wat shud i do
i have my exam on 6th
shud i take form 2 tomorrow
or go with form 1 confidence

I personally haven't heard that there is a significant difference between the forms. 540 is a good score. Whatever you do, taking another NBME isn't really going to affect your score on the real exam; it just serves to give an estimate of where you stand. There are other ways to find where you stand, without having to pay $45, however they are not quite as accurate. Your UW, USMLE CD, qbank, qbook, and kaplan simulated exam scores can be used as estimates. I personally have generated some correlations based on this score submissions on this forum, and there is another very good website that gives correlations. See the following links for the estimates.

I took 2 forms NBME 1 and 2 1 week apart. My scores are the same for both. I think you should move forward.

good luck both of u..please try to utilise the time on studying ur difficult areas..the nbme will only seek to assess ur score, not improve it.

Thank you for the replies. I appreciate it. I did NBME2 today. Just didn't have the guts to go without it. I felt I didn't do it that well but I got 550=229. So I think I shud be ok.
I decided to study the weak areas on NBME for the rest of two days.
