dear bbb, I am working as a research associate in Neuroscience at a medical school. This school doesn't allow any observerships but I have been attending the morning case reports and noon conferences with the residents. The PD does not know me very well but has agreed to write in letter that I have been attending to case conferences. Can I use this a LOR? Will it make any difference? What will you make out if you get such letter with an application? Thanks a bunch in anticipation!

Why wouldn't you use this letter as an LOR.

Thanks a lot bbb! I had doubts whether this would be significant and also I don't want to end up sending too many LOR's. If you don't mind answering another query, does it look bad if I send 5-6 LOR's? Most people say you shouldn't send more than 4.
