lady early in pregnacy with h/o bleeding, cramping and uterine contractions but now minimal. tissue passed yes. US: Normal uterine stripe Management..? simple

u do need to rule out one thing..?

the dx in this case is MISSED abortion. the treatment is conservative and rhogam in rh negative. however u do need to f/up with hcg to make sure there r no uterine debri which was undetectable on US. and to rule out a molar/chorioca

Missed abortion? She knew that she had cramping and passed tissue tho, right? Therefore cannot be a missed abortion. Dx is either partial or complete abortion - wont know til you f/up.

If she passed some tissue then it is most likely incomplete abortion and the treatment is dilatation and curretage
