1.best treatment for syphyllis in a pregnant lady, allergic to penicillin , is penicillin desensitization.
2. 32 yr G2 P1 38 weeks gestation, is admitted in the active phase of labour is monitored and given epidural analgesia. Her PMH is significant for gastroenertitis 1 year ago (  ). her previous delivery was unremarakable..this time, prenatal ultrasound was unremarkable. the lady experiences arrest of labor. epidural is responsible for such complications in similar patients

the key to this question was the lady presenting in ACTIVE labor. when an epidural is given in the active phase of labor, it usually is not responsible for arrest.
