I keep reading peoples' posts about how when they walk out of the exam think they failed, however they report a score of 92, 97, 99. So there must be more than a few that you are absolutely sure you picked the right answer. So basically about how much percentage of the qestions are you sure you got right. If you score in the 90s or even upper 90s, I would think you would be more sure about the exam then when you walk out. Right??

...ure just about normal!! this a unique exam..and very scientifially made..most material involves application and understanding..after the exam u really cant predict..coz frankly speking no one knows what the correct answer is..so i wudnt rely on that to predict to score

I agree with firefox. After exam, I really was not sure I answered correctly or not in many questions. There were so much uncertainty. I guess I might get around 80% right according to my score (243/98).

with my exam, my blocks were: block 1 - easy (40+/50) block 2 - easy (40+/50) block 3 - medium (<40, >35/50) block 4 - medium block 5 - medium block 6 - medium block 7 - medium i finished my blocks in 35 minutes usually, so i had time to review (i didn't mark items, i just reviewed everything when i was done with a block). i was absolutely sure about a good number of questions being right, which is why i posted my # correct/block. some i was not so sure. but the catcher is this... i may have gotten a few questions right that were experimental, which do not count. of course, on some of the questions, i could tell that they were experimental, because i've never seen anything like the question in ANY of my study material, which was extensive. but sometimes i just didn't know if they counted or not. it would suck if i got a good % of experimental questions correct, as they would offset what i hope to get on the exam. i submit that if you've done a good number of questions (10,000-15,000+), you start to know how many questions you got right in a block, even before your % is given, you have a feel for it. it's the same with the real exam. i'll post my exam score when it comes in the mail.

With my exam, there's only 1 block that I felt good at and the rest was more difficult than my 50 random Qbank questions, NBME 1, 2, and 3, and Qbook. I've developed a rhythm during my practice Qs and this rhythm seemed to be broken during the test since I got so distracted with the fact that so many questions I had to mark in one block. During practice, I generally marked 11-13 questions per block. These questions were the ones that I was not 100% sure. In the real exam, I had at least 15 questions marked in 6 blocks and one block I had like close to 20 questions. WTF?! I walked out of the room thinking I might have failed the test! I felt my score would definitely be lower than my practice ones...After I got the score (227/92), I was so relieved. This is very close to my NBME 3 score (230). I think there are many factors involved here and it's a very subjective judgement. Each person has a different expectation and what a person said "I think I failed the test", it could be interpreted as: 1. I really failed the test 2. I felt I didn't do as well as my practice questions 3. There were so many answers I picked that weren't sure if correct Keep in mind that many people set their expectations slightly higher than their practice scores, so this may play a role too.

I took the exam on the 30th of August, and while I don't think I failed the test, I came out feeling shaken. Since then, it's been difficult to stop worrying and enjoy my little break (before I start my CK prep). Almost every night I either dream of the exam or wake up thinking about it. It's driving me nuts. I think mrdowntoearth has it correct, everyone has different expectations from themselves and we all hold our very subjective impressions of this vast exam up to these expectations. I know a friend who thought he did well on the exam fail. Another friend who also thought he did well got a 99. Another friend who thought he failed got a 94. It's a different story for different people for the reasons mrdowntoearth stated. All I know for certain is that the wait for the result can be as bad as the exam experience itself!

DrPak I took my test on 31 august and I am in the same mode as you. It has been passed about one week since my test . When I recall Q , I found them wrong . I did lot of simplw Q wrong because of lake of sleep. I dont know whether I will pass or not. But My friend Study_ing has pointed out that He also felt Like I . So I am acting upon his advise to wait and pray till result come. So dont worry INSHALLAH everything will be fine Do pray for me

star1: yes you are right. It's best to be patient and pray for a good result rather than obsessing about the result. I'm going to start studying for the CK soon, so I hope that will distract me enough till the result comes.
