r platelets granulocytic? does GMCSF have a role in their production?

  #2

platelets r derived from megakaryocytes which is one of the myeloid stem cell lineage..

GM-CSF & IL 3 -differentiation of pleuripotent cells to myeloid stem cell
IL 7 -differentiation of pleuripotent cells to lymphoid stem cell
