Dear colleagues I hope someone will give me his/her opinion of the next question. I have been practicing with CCS disk provided by ecfmg and found out that some orders were missing in their database. I suppose we all got the sam CD. For example, one of cases was a child with ITP who had epistaxis not relieved by direct pressure. Well, the first step in that case would be putting a cotton soaked with cocaine and lidocaine in a nose but there was not such an option provided in their database so all I could order was antierior nasal packing which is not the first option according to standard medical care, but I had to stop a nasal bleeding in this boy somehow. Please could you give me your opinion on this matter. What should you do in such a case? Do you think that is justifiable to proceed to next measure if there's no an option of ordering the most recommended one. I really appreciate all your answers. Thank you
