Hi, How many of you did or will do Dix-Hallpike test (tilt test) in a dizzy case? I know it is important for Benigh Positional Vertigo, But it seems there are already lots of P.E. to do, no time for this. Is that OK I mention this to patient and write it in work-up? Or should I do this, and skip some other P.E.? Thanks

Agree with Zzpearl and Brokenhearted, there is no time to do it. I think if you do it you won´t have time to do other important stuff, just tell the SP at the end of the encounter you will do it and write it on the w/u.

A person is brought from sitting to a supine position, with the head turned 45 degrees to one side and extended about 20 degrees backward. Once supine, the eyes are typically observed for about 30 seconds. If no nystagmus ensues, the person is brought back to sitting. There is a delay of about 30 seconds again, and then the other side is tested. Ramin
