Hi,
I took NBME 1 for step 2 ck.I felt I did well & was confident of getting above 90(two-digit score).
To my surprise I got only 420(<80 -two digit score).I have my exam in another 15 days.
Any suggestions????

First of all dont panic abt your nbme score.
Consider the following things honestly..
1. What made you think that u would get a score>90 (i dont mean to be offensive but this is how I would analyse when expectations do not meet the outcome).
2. If there were strong grounds to expect that score, then consider the other aspects such as any disturbance during the test and whether u were affected by that, your test taking skills, anxiety, time management etc.
3. If you think that there were no disturbances and you felt you had the right test taking skills, then look at the performance graph given with the nbme score and see if you are really weak in the areas mentioned.
4. Having considered all the above things, next thing you can do is to take a different nbme(form 2 if u took 1 and vice versa) and see what score u get.
5. If you fail to meet ur expectations repeatedly, then u will have to take a hard and difficult look at your prep and expectations.
6. Once you have done all these things, you will be in a position to decide for yourself about delaying the test etc.
