Is it true that LOR should only be 1 page long? I have 2 amazing letters, but they are almost 2 pages...Please advice...Thanks!

if they are 2 pages long, I will be careful to call them 'amazing'.

GMOB: i think they are too long, maybe it will be hard for the PDs to pay attention fully through your 2 pages

If we are required to perform the PE and make a first impression within 15 minutes, we are also required to demonstrate ourselves within limited words. 1 page should be a safe call.

now that's a better response! I dont get why some people feel better inflicting concern and doubt into others, specially when we are all going or have been or will be going through the same process!! Thank you Chemamr! I will ask them to trim them down. Do you know if they necessarily need to be font size 12, or can they be a little smaller as long as they are still readable? THANK YOU!

Oops, did I offend any one here. I just told you exactly what a PD told me about the ps and I took it as a clear and honest reply. Sorry, Gmob, if you felt offensive by my answers. I just wanted to give a hand. that's all.

no harm done...I guess this whole drama makes some of us paranoid and anxious!! I really do appreciate your honest comment! The letters are indeed just one page long, but the logo of our hospital is so gigantic, that I doubt they will fit in just one page, so we'll see...Thank you and best of lucks!

my LOR is also on two pages because of the big Hospital logo and stupid paper size. But what can one do. I say... invest in what we have and hope for the best.

2 pages per LOR is fine and probably better than one if what it is written is worth telling and reflects the letter writer really knows you well. ngt

LOR isn't the same as a PS in length. Don't even worry about the lenght of an LOR. Good luck.
