Yesterday I received this in an e mail from a program coordinator:
Are there other specific criterias in which you are looking for when it
comes to accepting an applicant to your program? - We only accpet IMG
that are either on J-1 visas, permanent residents or citizens of the US
- we do NOT accept H type visas.
I only have a tourist visa, and I'd like to get a J1 visa for the residency. So here is my question: should I apply to this program?
They say the ACCEPT IMG that are in a J1 visa, what do they mean by that? Cause I'm not in a J1 visa now, I was expecting them to sponsor it. Maybe some1 can explain this to me. Thak you for your help.

You can apply to that program.If they accept you, ECFMG will sponser J1 visa for you.
