I have put my UK address as permanent and mailing address on CAF in ERAS. My friend at work has asked me to put a US address as he said that all the interview calls come in post and if I have a US address it is better because the PDs will find it easy to mail to a person with US address rather then mailing internationally to foreign address.
He also said that foreign address puts them off as they find it a hassle to post internationally.
My understanding was that interview requests come to ERAS email rather then by post. This is the first time I am participating in match so I might be wrong. Anyone experienced plz advise
Also, does anyone really post you any letters or paperwork that is important for match and interview process. If thats the case, I might use my friends address in NY. But there has to be a reason why i should use US address, since I will be travelling to US only for a month in december.
If anyone has any inprut on this or what you are doing, i will really appreciate. thanks

As a program coordinator, I haven't used the US mail to correspond with an applicant for years. I use email, with the first contact through ERAS mail. A US address doesn't mean as much as it did in prior years.

So basically i should not expect any paperwork by post until match and for match also. I will use my UK address then as this is where I will be after and before interviews until the match and possible ( I hope) residency.

u can put current as us address. i m moving around so much that i have kept my home address in india as permanent and a cousin's address in usa as contact .
