Stroke within 6 months prior to the event and head trauma 1 month prior to the event. There are some predictive factors for stroke, I think is important to remeber: 65 yo and older, weight less than 70 kg, hypertension on admision and use of tPA rather than another thrombolytic agent.

sorry but i am a bit lost. the predictive factors listed, are they predictive for poor prognosis of the stroke or poor prognosis for using thrombolytics following MI?

Hi tolito, they are predictive for stroke when you perform a thrombolysis for AMI

Depends if the stroke was hemorrhagic or ischemic. Any prior intracranial hemorrhage is a ABOSLUTE contraindication of fibrinolytic therapy. Ischemic stroke within the last 3 months is ABSOLUTE contraindication, EXCEPT acute ischemic stroke within 3 hours. Significant closed head or facial trauma within the last 3 months is ABSOLUTE contraindication. I refer you to Circulation. 2005;112:IV 89 IV110
