My grades are just C average and Step 1 is 203/83. I would like to know my chance of getting into IM. Not a problem.
Realize that as a US grad you only really need to pass your Step 1 to get an IM residency. Not really true. Many schools make you pass Step 1 and 2 to graduate - many states you have to have 1 and 2 to be licensed. Good luck

Sorry - yes - you do eventually have to have both Step 1 and 2. What I meant was that you don't need a stunning mark in Step 1 to be considered, provided you have other attractive attributes.

Dear BBB and 'Guest': Many thanks for your advice. To be honest, I haven't been trying to get advice from other people (Dean, professors..) because I am shameful of my score. Now, I feel I have more energy to focus myself. In the end, I just want to become a competent oncologist and researcher. BBB, yes, I need both Step 1, 2A, 2B (clinical skill) to graduate. I am from NYC. Again, many thanks for helping me. I greatly appreciate. <> Best regards, SS
