Alright, I know people are buzzing about the Match and the scramble over the next few hours. Our program Matched this year (yehey!), but I need to ask for help for a friend who is in the scramble process: would be happy to fill any position (although IM is preferred) at any location; has prior clinical US clinical experience; scores in the 90s. If you would be able to help this IMG out, pls give the person a call at (281) 236-3619. Thanks for all the help. Appreciate it very much! Abilene PLM2002 Stanislaus FP Residency Program2009

You're welcome, apricot Ok, today is match day - good luck, all! On one of my interviews, a department chair said to us, "Where you match is where you want to be." But of course it doesn't hurt to gun for no. 1! Good luck!

Aw...I thought you'd be at Rush too hec...but congratulations on getting your first choice!!! I know what you mean about the weather...they don't call it the windy city for no reason! I was there when winter started...hehe! Well, at least I'm only a few hours drive from my family here in Michigan...that's the important thing! Good luck with residency everyone! Oh yeah, I'm just curious, what do we do now? Did anyone get a call from their PDs? Or are we supposed to call? Or do we just wait for the contracts in the mail?

hehehe, I'm sure we will cross paths one day. Besides, my girlfirend matched at Rockford so, I'll be paying her a visit every once in awhile. Im sure I'll be visiting Chicago more often than I would have planned. Dropped a line to my program awhile ago, and they're also excited to have me there. They'll be sending out the packets with all the information and stuff that I need to accomplish, so I'll be expecting it in a week I guess. Maybe you can give them a short call, nothing will hurt from here onwards...we're already residents, yey!

i'm back! great to hear people matched in their top choices. congrats everyone! xthine, good luck on step 3. are you in the Phil or are you preparing for it in the US? I'm scheduled to take the Step 2 CS in May, so will leave for the US in a couple of weeks. I've been so focused on preparing for my visa interview I haven't figured out how to study for the CS! Well, I have 2 weeks to gather what resources I can here. and I'd like to send a shout out to those like me gearing for Match 2009! September is looming! hehe
