How are you going to get your application to programs to review if you don't apply through ERAS. If you are looking at pre-match - then you won't register with NRMP.

Good luck

Hi bbb, thank you for your reply. I was told that i could ask for a pre-match only if i havent signed up with ERAS or the match yet, because once you are in the match if you make any side deals outside the it would be a violation to their policy. i have visited a program in florida as an observer and i consider this program as my first choice so i want to ask for a pre-match there. for this reason i dont want to apply to the match at this time. my plan is to perform another observership as soon as posible and ask for the pre-match over my time there. if they do not give me a pre-match then i will apply to the match.

Again, ERAS is the application. NRMP is the match. You can apply to programs through ERAS, and never sign up for the match. Many programs will want your application through ERAS - even if you sign out of the match.

Good luck. Time? No clue.
