i think this is basically what most people are reading for step 2. and like p53 says, the results vary!!!

p53 suggests making CMDT a reference for derma and opth.

welcome

yes, the results vary - especially, for Kaplan LNs.

about your other resources -

-for medicine Harrisons board review

- it only contains difficult but helpful MCQs with explanations - you'll also need some good text review - I strongly recommend Agabegi's 'Step-Up to Medicine' - 564 pages - as an irreducible minimum for IM if you want to get a decent score - more short reviews are 'simpler than possible' (read Einstein's adage below of my post).

-blueprints for peads, psych.,n obgyn. - OK.

preventive medicine?

- I don't know.

where is surgery?

about 'Crush' - I don't like this book - too simplified and too superficial even for the last minute cramming before the exam; get 'Mock' by the same guy (Adam Brochert) instead - the same content, but different - better (board-like MCQ) format; for general text-format review I recommend 'Boards & Wards' (but it contains a lot of errors) or 'FA for step 2 CK 2005'.

thanks p53smiling face
for surgery i read somewhere in this forum that kaplan lecture notes are enough n no other books are required to supplement them.
n between cmdt n harrisons board review which ones better n should be followed cos i want to follow just one book.because i kinda get lost if i try to follow too many books.thanks again for ur help.

you can't compare CMDT and Harrison's board review, because the first one is a textbook, and the last one is a MCQ-book.
