one more important query, does anyone know whats h2b visa and if its used for residency. I don't know the difference between h1, h1b and h2b. I am wondering if i should tick all in the expected visa column or leave out the h2b visa?

H1 and H1b are the same visa, can be used for residency. H2, I believe is a spouse/dependent visa. It is a non-work visa.

an H1B is a work visa for skilled workers, H2B is a temporary work permit for workers(mainly unskilled, also includes agriculture, etc). I don't think it's possible to do a residency on a H2B, and this visa needs to be extended by yearly basis(max 3 yrs) and needs labor certification(a process that takes about 3-4 months). H4 is a spouse/dependent of H visa. please confirm this info from any of the many immigration sites...

I do know that you can't do residency on an H2 visa. I have gotten my H2's and my H4's confused.
