Dear friends, frankly I dint make much use of this forum, during my preps...but during my anxious post exam days i was very much a surfere of the posts here when i finally decided to register myself a few dayz ago ) Well unlike unsual trend i took my step 1 pn 31sy july gt the update on 23 rd aug... oasis pass ....and today on 28 th gt the coveted post ...with the figures of 98/242 i went thru all the posts here in the experiences ..and trust me i dint leave a stone unturned in screwing my scores ...but finally it's god almighty that helped me thru... always had that erratic sleep wake schedule ...and consequently cudn't sleep for 2 nites prior to the exams inclusing the nite before was exhausted by the time reached last block... first block was an eyeopener .... took a 20 minutes break straight away.... then cud be composed in subsequent blocks.... As regards my studies perep is concerned ... dint even complete my course even once ..yeah u read is rite....
.... kaplans...lectures though i cud do most of it..mostly i was interested in doing ample questions... never cud fix myself into reading text .... first aid done 60%... kaplans lecture notes approx. 90 % did subscribe kaplan q bank online...was never serious even then... scored 69 % , completed 70% ...usmle cd .. just a couple of days prior to the d day....119/150..( had to hurry up as had to leave outstation for the exam!!!) but infact i had earlier prep for indian pg in my internship and dere after hence that helped a lot....as i think my pat knowledge was what was tested ... i had worse b/chem then..and reported on the sheet as well even now just touching borderline upwards... kindly fiz ur scheduling according to u... i procrastinated n no. of times .... did give on last day of the slot period... hence don take risks and give when you are comfortable.. it's not necessary to revise the course 3 times or so...just when u feel okk take it.... let's see if i can correct my scheduling for step 2 preps tto get similar result hope this encourages all thanx

hihihi. well mytime. first of all thanx buddy. infact it's the truth which i discovered during the exam. each and every block has atleast 7-10 qs on Gynae/obs , atleast a 5-6 from med. an many more of these step 2 subjects... definitely i never did study that way prepared for these subjects / though these questions were not very difficult but were sufficient for distressing any one.... all stated above is that recently learnt concepts dint make much difference though they were tested on the exam ..but majorly it were the past concepts which were tested...so just hold ur nerves n don panic is my suggestion... and buddy took that hiiq society tests(95 percentile ones ) some couple of months ago and became the member there...
