I just received my step 1 result 186... i's a FMG and a 2002 graduate. do i still have a good chance in landing a good residency training program? i'm presently working as a government physician in our country specifically public health

Focus on Step 2. Step 1 i s mostly for US graduates since some when they apply to a program they do not even have the scores for Step 2. Some have not even taken CS.
Therefore focus on Step 2! Study and practice and practice questions. You should be able to do above 85 or 215. ___________________ To know is to not know..
