1. first off, bone is always undergoing breakdown and synthesis. the equillibrium will depend on the condition. in osteoclastoma, there is a lot of bone destruction going on that does not keep up with production, in osteomalacia, the new bone being formed is of poor quality, in osteosarcoma, the new bone is malignant. so ???? 2. this is incomplete too. by elimination, i would want to go for wedge excision. but there are many wedge excision procedures.

Hi, icemaiden Everybody here clears step1 (mine is 99/259), so there's no need to show off. I mean the HK physician exam has a different direction toward USMLE. HK physician exam is a test of cold memorization, and by doing this, u might distract people here. My 2 cents. Hope u dont get offended.

2) A. not always, mild one, gently lift the edge of the ingrown toenail from embedded position and insert some cotton or waxed dental floss between the nail and your skin. B.some lead to paronychia. C. Textbook says trim the nails without tapering or rounding the corners. Trim the nails no shorter than the edge of the toe. round corner may get ingrowth easier, because the corner is easily embedded by the toe side skin and flesh. please leave the corner out. D. as long as the nail bed is not impaired E. NSAIDS may be useful if it's painful. Actually, nobody is interested in it. But I like the topic. guess from a posdiatrist-to-be. hope it will help.
