a 60 year old man with a medical h/o hypertension, hypercholestrolemia and coronary artery disease comes to the ER with blood in his urine, nausea and vomiting. urine analysis reveals reddist coloured urine, absence of red blood cells but presence of granular casts and protein. BUN/ creatinine is 10:1. he is declared to have ARF and is put on dialysis. on enquiry the physician tells you that he has started a new drug prescribed to him by this family physician. what is the most likely cause of his ARF?
