Thanks so much for writing me back.
Unfortunately I won't be able to get a dean's letter either. I am an IMG and no plans to travel back. I don't think they will respond to me if I don't go there in person.
So pretty much both impossible.
The ERAS says one can indicate 'no' to the MSPE, but maybe I won't get matched because of that.

I'm sorry to hear that. Are you sure you can't ask them to make one for you? You should probably just shoulder the courier fee. That's what i would suggest. Hope all works well.

Relax! MSPE is an important component only for AMG. They know it is hard for an IMG to get it!

dear perhaps
it would be nice if u get a dean's letter from your college. the officials usually make no fuss about it and it would not be difficult. ask some friend back home to talk to the academic office at your medical school on your behalf.
if that doesn't work... then apply without an MSPE. YES! it's possible and it will not matter that much. the ERAS provides the option of providing a neutral filler letter in place of the MSPE for candidates that cannot furnish the same. this is done so that the application doen't look incomplete when downloaded by programs. and it shall not hinder your matching process.
i'm 110% sure on that. i think BBB shall concur.

Perhaps - do you have friends or family in the area of the medical school that can go get one for you? Ask them to get it and express service the letter to you.
It's also not the end of the world - many school don't offer one at all.

Is there a format for dean's letter or MSPE? I can't find any especially now the Dean's letter is not required. Is there a webpage with some formats?

No particular format for the dean's letter AFAIK. It's just in regular letter format.

Dean's letter is just a letter from the dean or principal saying he/she went to school from -- to --. was in in good conduct. had good bedside manners, etc ets and a few more things about you. in the letterhead adnw ith stamp.

remem u have until nov 1 to submit a deans letter. so its still not end of the world. take ur time and maybe u cud still get one
