This question keeps coming up, so i thought yuou could shed some light on this one. How do PD's or programs know if a letter of rec is waived or not, after the letter is downloaded onto your computers? Thank you.

There is a stamp that ECFMG puts on the letters if it's not waived. If it is waived, it's usually in the letter. Does it matter? No. My question would be why would you ask someone for a letter if you didn't think that he or she would write what I like to call the "best thing since sliced bread" letter. Good luck.

Sorry Amygdalaa - I'm not going to post letters here and have everyone copy them. Good luck
