The quadrigeminal artery in a 20-year-old man is occluded by a fat embolus originating from a compound fracture of the humerus. Which of the following structures does this occluded vessel most directly affect? (A) Superior cerebellar peduncle (B) Mammillary bodies (C) Medial and lateral geniculate bodies (D) Pineal and habenula (E) Superior and inferior colliculi

I dont think this artery is mentioned in Gray's either ? looks like its a branch of Post Cerebral A ... supplies the antero-lateral aspect of midbrain including the lateral third of cerebral peduncle (not abs sure!!) Does USMLE really go into 'never heard of names'?

I agree with Ice age. I couldnt confirm the authenticity of this artery-but seems to be related to a vessel in quadrigeminal cistern... and USMLE never touch such nanoanatomy details ...not even known to microneurosurgeons...so Relaaax
