A 35-year-old man who takes street drugs intravenously develops fever, cough, and hemoptysis. X-ray film of the chest shows bilateral infiltrates. Echocardiogram discloses a 1-cm mass that is attached to the tricuspid valve. Blood culture grows yeast. The most likely causal organism is? B or C i think i will go with B bcoz of the pulmonary symtems

IV drug abuse--->signs--->???endocarditis--->Ca ndida albicans cud be Cryptococcus neoformans --->pulm sign&symp but --->usually pat is asymtomatic and ECHO rule out this and confirm endocarditis anyone plz help

B. Candida albican can cause Endocarditis (with transient septicemias)/ IV drug abusers.
