this que is frm uw.

as given per the expln more emphasis is laid on the age of the child.

starnger anxiety starts at 6 to 8 mnths age and peaks at 12 to 15 mnths age. child fears strangers.

seperation anxiety is seen in an older child and when seperated from caregiver child is not happy and tries to avoid such situations.

given this expln, this child is trying to avoid this seperation by crying??? then why this can't be a seperation anxiety?? any one cud give a better expl

thanks

in this instance i think UW is wrong. fadem says different. by 15mo, stanger anxiety should be over but separation anxiety peaks.

an older child around 3yrs who cannot bear separation from mother is suffering from separation anxiety disorder.
