OK it's time I start with serious prep for step 2 cs . an exam easy to pass and easy to fail. so start going.Let me begin with my SWOT analysis.
S:been working on the D/D in FA for the last week or so.kind of faced similar exams in the past.memeber of this great forum ,been taking it easy in the last few days.so high energy levels and motivation to get going.
W: no study partner, probably will end up without a study partner.tendency to underestimate the exam.
O:good 27 days to go and hence more than enough time for a solid prep.
T:to practise 3 times all the cases from FA and UW.
History taking:Use a dictaphone to ask all the questions , go back to check list to see what has been missed out.Aim to cover atleast 70% in the first round
P/E:Watch UW twice , make sure u know all the steps byheart and then practise on someon real
Counselling:use UW guidelines to categorise challenging q's and Lisa's guidance on counselling.
PN:make photocopy of PN templates from FA and start writing as u cover each case.
Others: Get at least 2 good ideas/ day from this forum.

26.8.06,Completed sample cases in UW. categorised all the cases system wise. developed a strong system to go thru' all cases.To finish atleast 10 cases in uw.Remember it is not an easy exam unless u practise well.

27.8.06: completed 15 cases in GIT. starting to get a feeling of being in control.To complete 20 cases today from Musculoskeletal, Psychiatry geitourinary and pediatrics.Keep focussing on the essentials before and after actual History taking and physical examination.

31.08.06Been busy with applicationa nd Visa forms.Couldn't do much. Nevertheless feeling confident after getting hold of an online study ( discussion partner).To complete PE and then go to D/D of all cases.

1.09.06: completed d/d and the essentials of 30 cases in uw. starting to feel good day by day. all the d'd are coming fluently .i,e;without much effort.finish atleast 20 caes today.so only 20 cases will be reaining for the weekend all the best.

i'm done with step1, 2CK and started prep for 2CS last week.

i'm in ATL - came here yesterday and plan to stay here untill my exam date.

4.08.06:completed all the cases in UW +FA once. started with practicing writing pt notes.have identified cases and parts of the examination which df. needs a second revision .to finish these and then if time permits the rest of them.
