Can someone advise how hard it is to get residency in:
EMERGENCY MEDICINE, SURGERY, GYNECOLOGY & OBSTETRICS AND PSYCHIATRY for IMG?
Can you apply to more than one type of residency (like for example to all of the above)?
Can somebody advise if it is OK/better to learn/give S2 before S1?

You can apply to as many programs as you want and to every specialty you want. Just be sure to assign appropriate Personal Statement and LORs. Good luck

imho i know ppl who have got categ surg but i dont know any img who got em.. and in surg u always have option of gettin a categ spot later on after prelim..
however it wud suffice that categ surg and em are not for the average imgs.
