Can someone advise how hard it is to get residency in: EMERGENCY MEDICINE, SURGERY, GYNECOLOGY & OBSTETRICS AND PSYCHIATRY for IMG? Can you apply to more than one type of residency (like for example to all of the above)? Thanks,

you can take steps in any order u feel comfortable... giving CS after or around CK worked better for me.. if you have clinical experience and fluency in english... you can take CS anytime... As for applying to residency.. you can apply to as many programs u want and to all specialties if you like... make sure that u have different personal statement for every specialty.... Emergency medicine and surgery are competetive.. Psychaitry being less competetive... I think... good luck
