I have finally selected all the programs that I am planning on applying to, and now I would like contact those programs to learn more about them and their requirements. My question is: how much information should I disclose about myself? E.g. year of graduation, current position, citizenship - visa status, etc... Should I attach my CV? I hope someone can shed some light on this issue... Thanks in advance, Mufurc

I'll tell you what I do with my emails: I open, I paste my reply that everyone gets. I delete the emails. I receive 50-70 emails a day. I don't read them, don't open attachments. I can't keep up with them. What can you do? Send an email that says "I am interested in applying for your program. Can you send me your program requirements?" Can you do more and send more information? Yes, you can. That doesn't mean that you will get more information. Sorry.

Contacting programs does not look very productive for any of the sides (aplicants and programs). I sent emails to almost 50 programs. Less than half replied and 90% of the replies were automated messages refering to their webiste, which I had already visited. I can't imagine how people like bbb can deal with this situation of receiving hundreds of emails asking for the same thing every day and at the same time asking multiple specific questions. Is it simply impossible to deal with all this. I do hope that AMA-FRIEDA create a space to fill all this info (minimum scores, latest year of graduation, how many LORs, deadlines, program features, etc), so both parts could have some peace during the application season.

Dear BBB and Atlanta2006, Thank you both for the insightful answers. I guess my motto should be: KEEP IT SIMPLE! Thanks, Mufurc PS: BBB you should give us at least a PO BOX address where we could send our tokens of appreciation!! Thank you so very much for helping us out!
