today i recieved my score, it's a 92/227.. study material: kaplan notes, blueprints( IM,PED,Neuro, EM, OBGYN,). those i did seriously Kaplan Qbook(80% done) & Qbank(40%), Mock(60%), pretests(some here and there), secrets, and FA. study time was 4 months. The Exam: simply... It was hard...challenging Q's are alot... the questions usually gives hints for many Dg's, and the patient is on multiple drug regimens.. then it asks about next or initial step.. mech. of disease, etc. I dunno whether the first 6 blocks were actually harder than the last 2... but it did feel like that... though i gotta say.. that i did not sleep well the night before.. and after taking a redbull between the 4th and the 5th blocks.. things got better... so honest advice.. sleep well.. if can't take a couple of redbulls with u.. after the exam i definetely thought i'm gonna fail.... but reading the forum comforted me.. the waiting was like hell on earth...anyway. my step 1 is 77... i was going for 95+ on 2 to improve my chances.. but i guess 92 is fine too... gl to everybody..

Nice job Dude.....so you did not study any other books other than Kaplan and Blueprints? I was planning on studying the NMS series along with Blueprints. Would that be too much? Did you try the NMS series texts? Any advice would be helpful.

I did not use NMS series, so i could not judge... but comparing between kaplan and Blueprints.. Blueprints OBGYN is the only one i prefered over the kaplan counterpart... i think it was more complete.... ofcourse there are things that are not done well or at all in kaplan.. SA neuro and dermato... for neuro blueprints was a good source.. dermato i used emedicine.com

Maybe if I would be you, I will try to get well rested or even distracted (movies) the last day. Each of us sleep certain amount of hours, respect your body. There is a chance that you were too sleepy and the Red Bulls were too late Listen is not over until it is over, write down questions and topics asked ASAP you will start to forget very soon. By the way, maybe I can help you pass Take care Henry Kudisch MD (860)983-2883
