Arthus reaction sounds a lot like Type 4 except that injection of the antigenic substance causes antibody formation  ag-ab complexes  complement activation  edema, necrosis local reaction and is a TYPE III hypersensitivity Serum sickness is also Type III and is more systemic. Formerly due to injecting of serum (antitoxins) but nowadays as this has reduced, it is more due to drugs.
