blood tests for inflammation are always normal in OA as opposed to RA where there is inflammation.

CXR are usually inspiratory. good film shows 10 or more ribs from top
do expiratory CXR for pneumothorax. cos normal lung is collapsed, air in thorax will appear larger.

choose capsule endoscopy to diagnose cause of bleeding when an upper and lower gi endoscopy are negative. ( these do not visualise between lig trietz and ileocaecal valve.... endoscopy blind zone?? )

give activated charcoal in all cases of poisoning cos it is usually multidrug poisoning. eg, in alcohol intoxication even tho act charcoal has no effect on alcohol, it is given cos other drugs may have been ingested.
