Hi everybody this is my first posting (I wish I knew about this earlier). After many sleepless nights I came to know about this site, somebody please help me. I want to know an honest assessment of my chances in IM residency at a decent University program. Here are some details:
•Graduated 2003, India
•Got highest marks in IM in a class of 155 ( Letter from Chairman mentions this fact)
•Currently doing MHSA ( Masters in health administration from KUMC (Kansas University Medical Center): GPA 4.0)
•Cleared all steps first time : Step 1: 88; Step 2: 85; CS cleared; Step 3 in September
•Three letters of recommendation from US ( A Professor of IM; Chief of Nephrology, and Executive director of Kansas Health Policy Authority)
•Publication in an International Journal
•Currently doing research assistantship at Kansas City VA
•Did a 6 month long internship with Child Health Corporation of America
•Did clinical observer ship for 6 months in US
•Did various projects for KUMC, KUPI (Kansas University Physician Incorporation) and CMS
Please tell me what are my chances………………..

with that kinda cv - what ru worried about? i think kansas wud be willin to pick u up for sure with all ur connections.
