Dear All,
I am a new comer to this forum. I just passed Step1 and want to start preparing for Step2.
May I ask for the best books for Step2? I know the Kaplan notes and first aid. Actually, I got an email from "USMLE for you" saying that they have kaplan step2 notes 2007 edition for $200. Other than these, I am clueless.
Please give me some advises. Thank you very much in advance!

I saw on Ebay there's a book called USMLEHelp Step 2 CK.... I got one, and it looks really good. It's a good overview of the stuff you have to know for the test. It's about 500 pages, with room for your own notes. I haven't taken the test yet, but it really has helped me "gather my wits" for it. The images are good for remembering, and it's all in color, which makes it easier to remember things (I'm really color-oriented when it comes to studying). Some pictures aren't the greatest quality, but you still can get the information you need out of them.
The valvular disease pic and the crohn's pic are by FAR the best! Those things actually make sense to me!
I never really was comfortable using FirstAid, but I know a lot of people like it. Otherwise, I'd say for a "real" textbook, use the Kaplan books. They're pretty good, and an easy read, basically.

I saw that book on ebay too. Based on your suggestion, I will get a copy of it. I like color pictures, too. I am also a FA fan, at least for Step1. But I am not sure how good step2 FA is. I heard some rummur that step2 FA is not so good.
I will also get the Kaplan textbooks. I am an old IMG. I've forgot all my clinical knowledge. It's going to be a long journey for me to get ready for Step2 exam.
