I've seen cell-cycle questions on Kaplan and USMLERX where they ask you things about Tubulin and what stage of the cell cycle its involved in. Here is my confusion: I am aware drugs bind to Tubulin and prevent spindle formation in M-phase... But when does Tubulin form, in G2 phase?? Thanks for your input!

seems to be G2 (though most other mitotic enzymes/proteins are made during S-phase) http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd...

The various drugs that interact with Tubules affect tubule polyomerization/depolymerization...with no effect on tubule synthesis.
