1. Does anybody know a website where one can take CME courses (so needed for Illinois baord)
2. Does anybody of IMG-US citizens try to apply for military programs? Are they good? I know that taking residency in military program doesn't make You actual US Army physician, but their training must be good...?...or not..???

Hi Rasul:

Try signing up at www.medscape.com. They have CME in just about any field. Usually they post articles which you read then take a test online.

Second, as far as military residency programs as far as I know coming from an Army officer family, the programs generally go first to military obligated seniors (Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences) who must pay back Uncle Sam for their med school loans. If you don't get a military residency PGY1 match, you must try to get a civilian residency.

Thank You, Will, for Your response!
I checked out the CME website, I think it exactly what I need.
Regarding the military program: In my country military training is considered the best in any field. My uncle is military surgeon- he says I'll automatically become a military upon entering the program.
I thought so too untill I read the website of William Beaumont Army Medical Center.Maybe I misunderstood them?
It says that just entering the residency doesn't mean You're becoming a military.
Check it out.
The rest of military internal residency programs were truly designed for miltary USHEC guys.
