first q:I guess is glutamate because if it's possible to assume pH]=7 is physiologic pH than means arg, glu are + charged. Glu has a bigger molecular weight than so will migrate slowly. second q: Go is negative which means the reaction could be in direction A to B but very slowly; a enzyme allows reaction to proceed rapidly.

Second file: first q:Km means the concentration of a substrate at which the reaction velocity is 50 percent of the Vmax, so Km will be 0.5.

sec q[- A because AP is allosteric inhibitor of PFK1 which means ATP will be a modulator and will change the affinity of PFK1 for the substrate and the curve will be sigmoid.

Hi Blueocean! Thanks for help! ; ) But the answers are: 1-B.arginine (I didnt understand because I also thought thats glutamate because its a negative charge) 2-G. cant be used for gluconeogenisis (because G< is irreversible?) 3-Right! Thanks.. 4-B (but how could I know that ATP is an competitive inhibit..it could be noncompetitive inhibit as letter E..right?)

the marked amino acid is closest to the negativ epole...hence it is POSITIVELY CHARGED, in fact the most positively charged. arginine, lysine and hstidine are basic glutamate and aspartate are negativelty charged acidic.

angel it, idont have my glasses so im sorry im guessing at what u've posted. the second rxn has a G which is negative. this shows its an energy liberating reaction... actually which edition are thse notes..ill try looking at mine

3. asks for KM. look at the end of the second column for the maximum reaction velocity. half it and choose the correspondng substrate concentration

from what i remeber of chemistry, G duz NOT determine the RATE of enyme activity...its the energy of activation which helps predict that. ..in fact thats hpw enzymes used to work. they lowered the energy of activation reqd for a rxn. howevr the net energy yield or gain, denoted by g, remains unaltered. hence all the answers predicitng the spped of rxns wud be ruled out.
