hi, Musuq, I just finished my path. for some subjects: femal path & musculosketal& skin. I still
don't understand those well. I am doing micro&immu. this is the first time I find I like those bugs, so lovely!!!(otherwise, they will bite me!!) so better love them.
yes, you are right, Mayb I need to go through High yield embriology. but I do not have it on hand. do you know how to find it through website?

Somehow i missed ur journal before now....I just read ur opening post.........it was damn good.I sincerely hope that u are feeling proud of urself everday and will continue to do so for the rest of ur life....nothing or no one sud tell u otherwise.U have been working very hard i cn see it..Let me say I'm proud of u.So Good Luck and March on.

Yes Musuq.. i pray to God that this will be a good year for me, for all of us who work hard to beat this scary monster! I believe w/ such dedication & hard work we'll make it.

Hi Lilla, very good about Micro, good for you! as I still can't deal with those bugs  but I will. About the high yields, let me check on a friend that is like a magician, he knows all kind of soft material on line and the best thing, free, jeje. let me ask him tomorrow. Goodyear, definitely we will make it. I met a lady today at the bathroom jeje, well at kaplan, and she can be my mother I may say; the thing is that she was so happy to let me know that she passed her step 1, I remember seing her struggling some months ago and now she did it, "there is no limit or barrier when you set your mind into something" that's what she said and it's true. So let's keep studying for this, that's the only weapon we have.

Lilla, I got some links from a friend I will just put the whole bunch of links for this ok, I haven't checked the material but hopefully you can give it a good use.
My pathology is slow and steady, I am just using lots of time to go through the photomicro and macrographs; well at least I am moving, let's try harder today. Hang in there guys and have a productive day ok.

I just wanted to drop by and wish you good luck with your studying. Like you said to me "You can do this." I believe you can do this too and I believe you can do this better than most people. You are an awesome person and your patients are going to be very lucky to have you as their doctor.

Prep4Step 1, man, I appreciate your words of support a looot; but let me tell you something, it is very hard sometimes to concentrate when you are constantly worry about something, but heck I will try even harder. This is ironic, but yesterday, a great man, friend of my dad who had Vasculitis diagnosed 3 months ago, died from a stroke, he was almost dad's age and he was always giving support to my dad & his family was always supporting mine. A real unexpected tragedy, but also a reminder that Life is never a guarantee. So, guys let's do our best and live every minute feeling proud of what we are doing for God, for ourselves and for others.
This is a new week, let's do our best and get closer to that dream that will eventually be a reality for us. Have a good one.

I just started a new subject, this would be at least my 2nd reading but I feel it's never enough, Biochem is such an ungrateful subject because after a little bit time I seem to forget everything  But here I go, Biochem next stop.

hi, dear Musuq, my Bioche is better than others. my experience is when you feel you do not remember it, just reread it again and again. you memorize more, you will understant more. now I am struggle with Pharmo. I have the same feeling like I did Bioche. but I read it again, it does not work. I found through the forum to solve the questions and help me more.
so different subjects, I have to use different ways. today, I spent 3hours to understand pericentric invesion and paracentric inversions, adjacent 1and 2 segregation and alternate segregation. before I did Qbook, I did not understand. now I do Qbank, I also do not know it. so It is time to solve it.
my exam day is nov 15th.did you book your day?

its nice to see everyone bubblling with + energy here.i too gave NBME,got 400....dont know if i was happy or sad...ya happy coz i thought i'll never pass and sad coz the greedy me always wants more.ya wt 400 i stand nowhere.
2 days didnt study well coz i was Depressed for reason i dont know(may be NBME.......)ya but rading all ur posts here made me feel rejunivated.

Keepgoing, I do have a schedule that I am following with a friend at kaplan; I have seen Lionel Raymond around, I think they are having pharm lectures right now, I may sneak one day in jeje since I got another professor, Nora who was great also, but Raymond is on the current videos and he is awesome. My current subject it's Biochem, man it's so much faster when you already saw the subject, mol biol is fine, my problems are genetics and metabolism, but this is my last chance to learn or dye trying. My exam will be in November, probably the last week. I will make my list ok Keep it up Buddy
Lilla, you are very smart, I am sure you will find your way with Pharm, as I said Raymond tapes are awesome, much better than the old guy's, sorry but it's true. But pharm is mostly memory right, try flashcards, nasty mnemonics, anything that can aid to grasp it cold. Good luck!
Smal, 400 in NBME is not a passing score, I got 390 some weeks ago, so what's the plan, keep studying hard, specially your weak areas, in kaplan they told me above 520 can guarantee a passing over 80 in the real exam, which is at least what we want right, although I am aiming 90's, gosh, I hope I can get that, Good luck to you and do your best buddy.
Biochem is on the plate now, molecular biology shall be done today. have a good one guys

actually i saw the co-orelation to usmle score NBME gives and 400 corrosponded to 192....182 being the req. passing score in stp 1.
but ya i agree with u that performances and luck varry from time to time,thats whhy KAPLAN says get 520 to 've as a back up plan.
will definetly study today.....ur energy wont be lost and also the energy of ppl who luv me so much and want me to be happy

Oh my Gosh, grandma died mom is devastated How fast can pass our lives? these last days many people are dying around my family, God please protect my core family from this bad time and give mommy the comfort she needs in this hard time.
Guys, I am doing Biochem as you know, feel a lil depressed but here I am still fighting for this, I know I wont have a life till I pass this damn exam, and life is so short so we better get over this asap. Well, let's move on with or without pain.
Keepgoing, I see you got the photobucket well done. I kinda love computer's stuff, once I was a nerd and got all this stuff well known. I see you got a schedule, stick to it my friend, my best wishes to you.
Lilla, I will follow your advice and start studying more time with questions, my advisor at Kaplan told me to do the same for my second 1/3 period studying so I may start now. thanks for your tips buddy
Smal, 400 is a borderline score, is that term right? anyway, buddy you have a great attitude, hang in there, use your tools and you will nail this exam. i recently found a friend who got 91, she was telling me, try to make step1 your world until you take the exam, audios, flashcards, videos, questions, chatting with friends, everything. man she was a lil upset with her score, I was like "What" but she is right, the more you read, the better our scores are gonna be, so let's do this.

Thanks Smal, It was very hard to concentrate today , didn't go to Kaplan cause I had to do many phone calls to relatives, gosh, it breaks my heart to see mom so devastated.I mean, I am sad about grandma's leaving but I can't imagine how hard it can be to lose your real mother Anyway, this wasn't a good day but I plan to stand up tomorrow.
I can't let this situations to keep me down. I know grandma is in a better place now (I am christian). I still have to make my place in this world, hopefully I have still many years left here and I better be done with this exams soon to be useful to my brothers and sisters in this world, otherwise why I became a doctor in the first place right?

Thanks for your support all the time. really appreciate it. I watched a DVD movie tonite" When strangers call" It was ok..most of all short . i didn't feel relaxed after watching it. It was a suspense movie. Any way I just wanted to get away fr my Pharma. I worked hard today feeling crazy memeorizing & juggled w/ all of my out of this world mnemonics.

Sorry to hear about your grandma. It is sad and I know your mom must be feeling horrible. I can't imagine going on without my mom either. I would die I think if something happened to my mom. No matter. You are going to be ok. There are some days when one just has to get away from work. Life sometimes comes first and I think that is the case with you at the moment.

i am sorry to hear about your grandma too. hopefully, you feel better now. yes, it is very difficult for your mom to accept this fact. you know,it will take time for your mom to get over.
I finished my phamar. still no confident with it. much better than before. as you mentioned, I will do a lot of questions about it. next week, I will review physiology and immunology.
