THANK GOD.
i made the 90's. i prayed for 99 but i got something just as good... my scores arrived today while i was at work and i had the hubby open it. he paused for a while and i was worried. then he gave me the news and i was overjoyed. i had my doubts in the past week that i would even make an 85 cos i kept remembering block 6 with all the genetics i could not fathom.
God has put a seal of approval to the new life i am starting.
i want to thank everyone on this forum for being so supportive. i could not have made it without you. i dont want to mention names lest i leave someone out but i must say that my greatest inspiration came from sharvil. i printed out his advise and i read it to myself for months.

docarchana i had 540 / 228 NBME I 2 weeks to exam and 540 NBME 2 night before the exam!!!!

congrats dr. virgo for a nice score.
can all you friends help me solve my confusion.
i just gave step 1 last week and starting for step 2.
before that i thought i should take your kind advice.
here is briefly how i did in the exam.
it was ok but some questions were really obscured and i was scratching my head.
i finished goljan and it was extremely important--- i really realised in the exam.
i read kaplan except pathology, first aid, goljan pathology and 100 pages.
1. i did entire kaplan q bank, q book and phyio q bank--- 75 to 80 %.
that's all what i did for questions.
2. NBME: form 3 ---720
form 4 ---670
3. usmle cd: 44/46/46
i found the exam a step ahead to NBME.
so i was just confussed that is there any correlation to NBME.
based on your experience of step 1, can you help me estimating my score.
i will get in couple of weeks though. but still.......

hi totolito..great score i m just perplexed i finished my 1 reading 2 months back n since then i have not been reading .i have close to 3 months for my exam .please advice in terms of your total duration of prep..q sources..no of hours per day.thanks plz reply

hey pranav, go have a beer with friends. you are obviously a 99 scholar. no sweat.
if you did the NBME without having answered q on the forum and without 'cheating' ie checking up answers in your books, your scores are perfect.
deorivera, i will compile the list shortly
luckyluck, you dont want to let any time elapse between your studyig cos you will forget stuff you used to know. i have to keep on studying hard each day in order to excel. i discovered that med exams are not passed by being 'brainy' but by being diligent. so i willadvise that you endeavour not to have any long breaks between now and your exams. i think you should make believe that you have nto read anything and start afresh lest you think you know only to find out that you have forgotten. you may read your notes to refresh your memory once more.
